Classic cars, nostalgic tunes and great company bring Diamond Mountain Casino and Memorial Park to life this weekend. Classic car owners show off their valued vehicles and car enthusiasts can check out an assortment of unique and classic automobiles from yesteryear.
The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Main Cruise Classic Car Show n’ Shine opens with a preshow from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 23 at Diamond Mountain Casino.
Then on Saturday, June 24, those old classics of Detroit steel move to Memorial Park on North Street in Susanville, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to the car show, the event also features food and drink vendors and live entertainment with Susanville band Fourgery.
Schedule of Events, Saturday, June 24 10 a.m. — Day of event registration begins. 10:30 a.m. — Cars begin entering Memorial Park. 11 a.m. — Car show opens to the public; food, drink and vendors open. 11:30 a.m. — Fourgery begins playing in the bandstand. 3:30 p.m. — Car awards announced. 4 p.m. — Event ends and cruise begins.
