March Chamber Mixer
Mark your calendars for our March Chamber Mixer held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at the Highway to the Gaming Zone, 1430 Main St. Make this St. Patrick’s Day one for the whole family with arcade games, specialty drinks, small bites and a raffle! Everyone is welcome to attend; you do not have to be a Chamber member, and we encourage you to bring a friend.

Hello, Spring!
After having to postpone this event for the past two years, we are ready to bring to you our 14 annual Spring Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at Lassen County Fairgrounds. If your business fits into Home, Garden, Recreation or Wedding Vendor, we welcome you. Job Fair
The Alliance for Workforce Development, in partnership with America’s Job Center of California, hosts a virtual version of their popular Job Fair on March 2, pairing local employers with quality job candidates from across four counties. Best of Broadway
Best of Broadway’s 2022 production brings you the concert series, “Home Again!” Mark your calendar for eight performances the first two weeks of March. Tickets are $15 each and available at Margie’s Book Nook, Zaengle’s Floor and Home and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce.

Loflin Family Fundraiser
There will be a fundraiser to help support the Loflin Family and help spread Breast Cancer Awareness from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at New Image Racquetball Gym, 1717 Main St. This fundraiser includes a full day of events, featuring a corn hole tournament, workout classes, craft fair, raffle, kids club and lunch. St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
Looking for dinner plans for St. Patrick’s Day? The Lassen Humane Society offers a drive-through corned beef and cabbage dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at the Susanville Senior Center, 1700 Sunkist Drive. The dinner is just $16 per plate. All proceeds benefit the Lassen Humane Society. For more information, leave a message at 257-4555.

St. Patrick’s Day Party
Join Soroptimist International of Susanville with a St. Patrick’s Day Party to benefit #fightforccc. The Shenanigans Shindig will be held at Jensen Hall, Lassen County Fairgrounds, from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 18.This event includes a live performance by the band ‘Timeless,” a Pot of Gold Wheel, Couples Leprechaun Contest, Leprechaun Limbo, a silent auction, drinks and snacks. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Axia Home Loans.

Susanville Swing Band
The Susanville Symphony Society brings you the Susanville Swing Band at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Susanville Elk’s Lodge. Farm Bureau Scholarships
Applications for Lassen County Farm Bureau scholarships and American Ag Credit are now available. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving high school or college students who are pursuing a career in agriculture or agri-business. Students can obtain applications on the Lassen County Farm Bureau’s Facebook page, by contacting their school counselors or calling the Lassen County Farm Bureau office at 257-7242. The application deadline is March 25.

Lassen Association of Realtors Scholarships
Applications for Lassen Association of Realtors Scholarships are now available. This year LAR will be offering three $1,000 scholarships. Students must be in their senior year attending a high school within Lassen County. For more information, call 257-5220. The application deadline is April 15.

LMUD Scholarships
Applications for LMUD Scholarships are now available. LMUD is offering two $1,250 scholarships for high school seniors and one $500 scholarship for returning college students in a program designed to enhance the education and resulting careers of deserving local students. Applications can be accessed on the LMUD website or for more information call 257-4174. The application deadline is April 29.

Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball Scholarships
Applications for Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball Scholarships are now available. This year Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball will be offering one primary scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and one secondary scholarship in the amount of $500. Students must be high school seniors who have played a minimum of two years in the local Lassen Youth Fastpitch Softball League; must be a senior at Lassen High School; and plan to attend an accredited college, university or trade school.
