The Chamber has received the 2021 Labor Law Posters that feature the required federal and state notices. Businesses that preordered a poster can stop by for pickup at the Chamber office, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you did not pre-order a poster but need to have an updated copy, stop by the office to purchase one. We have a limited quantity available on a first-come-first-served basis. Stop by the Chamber at 1516 Main Street.
California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business; cost is $30 each for Chamber members or $40 for non-members.
Be sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members.
At the February Chamber board meeting, discussion was held regarding moving forward with event planning. Committees are planning for events in anticipation of getting approval from the Health Department including the Spring Show that will be held in April, and the Main Cruise Classic Car show that will be held the end of June. Committees are meeting to work out the details so that events can move forward for the coming year.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Lassen Humane Society will not be hosting the annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner or annual Yard Sale. They hope to be able to do a fundraising event in the fall. They continue to offer the Pups on Parole program, as well as pay for the spay or neuter of all adoptable cats and dogs at the Lassen County Animal Shelter. They hope to start a brief program to subsidize the spaying of female cats to reduce the number of unwanted kittens this spring, (contact your vet for details).
