COVID-19 cases are continuing to rise in the community and at a local correctional institution, according to the Friday morning update.
Lassen Cares, the hub for local COVID-19 information, reported there are 183 Lassen County COVID-19 community cases as of Friday morning, Nov. 13. Of the total cases, 46 are active, four are currently hospitalized, 132 have recovered and there was one COVID-19 related death in October. The latest report adds 19 new cases from the last update released Wednesday, Nov. 11.
FCI Herlong has eight active cases and four recovered, and there are zero active cases at CCC, with 626 recovered.
Regarding community cases, according to the Lassen Cares COVID-19 Dashboard, there are 48 positive tests reported for the month of November. Prior to this month, the largest increase during a month was 50 cases in July.
There have been 10,264 tests administered, with 9,993 returning negative and 88 pending.
