Lassen County COVID-19 numbers continue to decline

According to the lassencares.org website, as of 8:52 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, the number of COVID-19 cases in Lassen County continues to decline.

Lassencares.org reports six active community cases, 76 recovered cases for a total of 82 community cases. No one is currently hospitalized and there are no deaths reported from the virus.

Lassencares.org reports 13 active cases and 614 recovered cases at the California Correctional Center; zero active cases and five recovered cases at High Desert State Prison; and two active cases at the Federal Correctional Institution, Herlong — for a total of 634 inmate cases.

The county has administered 5,717 tests with 68 results pending and 5,459 negative test results.

The county has administered 236 serology tests (for COVID-19 antibodies) with two positive tests and 234 negative tests.
