Lassen FBLA announces new officers, recognizes award recipients

Lassen High School FBLA honored its members, revealed new officers and extended many thanks during the end of the year Desert Social Wednesday, May 19.

The evening event featured recognized graduating seniors, state qualifiers, a local national qualifier, pathway completers, achievement award recipients and the new officers.

The new officers for the 2021/ 2022 FBLA team are Co-Presidents Zak Schall and Alliyah Yerington, Co-Vice Presidents Ethan Shaw and Shade Satica, Northern Section Secretary Zachary Mallery, Social Media Katie Marsh, Secretary Morgan Merrill, Sentinel Trevor Schwagerl, Public Relations Keely Bosse, Financial Manager Allie Uribe and Social Chairs Nash Osborn and Tucker Shall.

The outgoing officer team included President Autry Satica, who served in the role for two years, Vice President of Travel and Projects Zak Schall, Vice President of Student Relations Ronnie Merrill, Secretary Rylee Friddle, Treasurer Trysta Spangle, Public Relations/ Historian Shade Satica, Sentinel Zane Osborn, Social Chairs Katie Marsh and Ethan Shaw, Section Public Relations, Alliyah Yerrington, and Section Leadership Associate Zachary Mallery.

Moreover, several students were recognized on their achievements throughout the year.

The Members of the Year went to William Beterbide and Gaige Thompson.

Additionally, National Qualifier for Introduction to Public Speaking Keely Bosse gave her speech to those in attendance.

The local FBLA team also thanked those who have helped, including advisors Dawn Egan, Kerrissa Schall, and Carrie Satica, Quin and Mark Zaengles, from Zaenlges Carpet One Floor and Home, Jo Forsyth for her assistance, and other community partners.
