Lassen Fire Safe Council hosts Wednesday meeting

The Lassen Fire Safe Council invites the public to attend its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.20 at the Susan River Fire Hall, 701-145 Highway 295 in Johnstonville.

Items on agenda include a discussion of active projects including: CalFire grants (Thompson Peak WUI Fuel Treatments; Diamond Mountain Forest and Watershed Restoration; Hog and Sheep Fire Forest Reforestation; Shingletown WUI Fuels Treatment; Dyer Mountain WUI Fuels Treatment; Whitmore Forest and Watershed Restoration; and Clear Creek and Hog Flat Fuel Treatment); SNC grants (Bootsole; East Side Communities; and Diamond Mountain); other grants (FEMA ‑ Hog and Sheep Fiore Restoration; Honey Lake Valley RCD – SPA; California Fire Safe Council – county coordinator; and CWPP; awarded projects (CFSC Defensible Space Grant); agency updates (BLM; CalFire; SNC; NE CA Fire Prevention; USFS; Susan River Fire Protection District; Lassen County OES; SPI; Honey Lake Power; Beaty; Lassen County; Honey Lake Valley RCD; SIR; Red Cross; and Firewise Community Leaders); and public comment.
