Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
“On average, teachers affect more than 3,000 students during their career”

To celebrate Teacher Appreciation week, dress up like a teacher tomorrow. In return, teachers and staff are encouraged to dress like students.

Individual Senior Art Shows Start Today
Callie Baldwin, Art 4, and Simon Talley, Art 3, have put up their shows in the display cases on the bottom floor of the 700s building. Their opening reception will be this afternoon from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Come by to see their artworks and ask them about them. If you can’t make it today, the art will still be on view for the rest of the week, so take a walk past and see all their hard work and creative talent.

Senior Prom
Save the date: Senior Prom is Saturday May 25. Prom dresses and tuxedos (with all the accessories) available from student services in the library. Everything is set out for students to browse through and find what they need.

Dance Guest Requests Reminder
Dance guest requests are always due the Wednesday before a dance.

One-Stop Prom Shop
The Class of 2024 is holding a One-Stop Prom Shop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday May 13, in the Student Center. You can buy your bid, order corsages and boutonnières, make appointments for spray tans, prom makeup and hair, and even order your tuxedo! Lassen Family Services will also have a selection of formal wear to borrow.

Yearbook
Reserve your copy of the yearbook today. Supply is limited. $100 with Carol in the ASB office or online through the Lassen High School payment portal.

Seniors
If you would like to participate in Baccalaureate through a song, poem, or reading see Mrs. Schall.

Eagle Lake Village seeks volunteers
Eagle Lake Village is looking for anyone interested in donating time to help entertain their residents. Volunteer/community hours in playing games with the seniors or reading to them, musical entertainment, or bringing out pets or livestock for “show and tell.” Your contact would be Carrie and you can reach her at (530) 310-2554.

PLATO
PLATO classes close Friday, May 24. Seniors cannot participate in senior activities if their PLATO class is incomplete.

Sports physicals are good for the school year not the calendar year.

Boys Golf
Congratulations to the Boys golf team. They won back-to-back section championships yesterday. Wish them luck as they move on to the next level.

Interested in trying out for volleyball? There is a mandatory lunch meeting next Tuesday, May 14, in Mrs. Newman’s Room 757

Cross Country Runners
There’s a meeting Wednesday, May 8, at lunch Mrs. Johnson’s Room 317. We will talk about the fundraiser we’re doing later this month and give some information for summer and next year. If you didn’t run last year, but are thinking of joining us next year, come to the meeting to find out what we’re all about,

Cheer Squad
Come join the 2024-2025 Lassen High Cheer Squad from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the LHS Big Gym. Make sure to fill out the Homecampus form prior to tryouts and third quarter grades are checked by Mrs. Kramer. All forms are on Facebook and Instagram.
