Lassen National Forests seeks volunteer campground hosts

Lassen National Forest is looking for friendly faces to serve as volunteer campground hosts at several campgrounds, it shared Thursday.

“Our campground hosts are an important part of the Lassen team that greet our visitors and provide them with important information about their National Forest,” read a post from Lassen National Forest. “Host opportunities include highly developed sites on the shore of Lake Almanor, riverfront campgrounds, and less developed sites surrounded by natural lakes and designated wilderness.”

Hosts are provided with propane as needed, a camp site for the season, and dump stations. Duties include greeting visitors and providing information on Lassen National Forest and the surrounding area, monitoring campground for issues, cleaning restrooms, and light maintenance duties. Work schedule is 20 hours per week 5 days a week.

Interested parties are encouraged to contact Lassen National Forest as soon as possible. Visit the Lassen National Forest website  for more information.
