Lassen Senior Services, 1700 Sunkist Drive, hosts a free Fall Prevention Course from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18.
According to a Facebook post, “Come join us for our fall prevention class lead by Amy Roberts, PT a physical therapist from Banner Lassen Physical Therapy department. We will be discussing: risk factors for fall risk and what we can positively impact; how to keep our homes safe; how to fall safely and how to get up from a fall; how to fit your assistive device correctly; (Amy will be available to adjust your assistive device if necessary); winter implications to fall risk; and basic balance assessments and some exercises you can do at home.
