Lassen Senior Services seeks donations to help with repair costs for vandalized vehicles

Penny Artz, the executive director of Lassen Senior Services, said the nonprofit agency that provides meals and other services to senior citizens in Lassen County, asks for the public’s help raising money to pay for vehicles that were vandalized in the LSS parking lot recently.

Artz said vandals drilled holes in two gas tanks, cut the gas lines on one vehicle and cut two catalytic converters from the vehicles. The estimated replacement cost of two catalytic converters was $3,000 plus labor and the repair cost for the gas tanks and gas lines is unknown.

Artz said community members who would like to help LSS cover the cost of repairs to the vehicles could send a check to Lassen Senior Services, 1700 Sunkist Drive, Susanville, CA 96130 or stop by and make a donation in person.
