Lassen sports take a hit due to coronavirus

Sports in Lassen County are going to see some changes in light of the coronavirus outbreak. On Thursday, March 12 the California Community College Athletic Association decided outside of regularly scheduled classes to postpone practices, and competition for all spring sports, as well as any and all nontraditional sports seasons, indefinitely.

This will mean an immediate halt to the Lassen College spring baseball and softball season for this year.

Additionally Lassen High School Superintendent/principal Morgan Nugent said, “The CIF will have a decision Tuesday,” in relation to high school sports.

The Susanville Little League has suspended all little league activities and play until at least after April 6.
