The Lassen Sportsmens Club holds a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the Supervisors Chambers, 707 Nevada Street to discuss rescheduling the annual fishing derby.
Safety concerns regarding the high and swift water in the Susan River forced the postponement of the event last month.
Club President Wade Workman said, “I encourage all stakeholders as well as the core membership to make this meeting. We need to consider other events that may compete with the derby (such as the County Fair) and water conditions that may preclude the fish plant due to low water levels and high temperatures. If you can’t make the meeting but have relevant information (event calendars, etc.) email them to me (at [email protected]) before the meeting.”
