Lassen County has seen an increase of eight COVID-19 community cases since the last update posted Friday.
As of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, there are 12 active community cases, 110 recovered, one person is currently hospitalized and there is one COVID-19 related death, according to LassenCares, which provides local Coronavirus information. The previous update posted Friday, Oct. 16, listed 7 active cases and 107 recovered.
Additionally, according to LassenCares, there have been 637 inmate cases at correctional facilities in Lassen County. There is one active case and 626 recovered cases at the California Correctional Center. There are no active cases and four recovered cases at High Desert State Prison. There are two active cases and four recovered case at the Federal Correctional Institution, Herlong.
There have been 9,398 total tested, with 9,256 negative tests and 18 pending tests.
