As Lassen men’s rodeo Head Coach Dan Williams states, it’s a better late than never start for his team. The Cougars pulled it though at their last rodeo of the season in Las Vegas last weekend.
Cody Russell, Lassen freshman, showed the region what he was made of by winning the bull riding at the first rodeo and securing himself the regional championship in that event. He will be representing Lassen College at the National College Finals in Casper Wyoming June 11 through June 20.
Lassen freshman Chace Green placed in the steer wresting event as well as the team roping event with partner Lexi Carter, also from Lassen College.
“Better late than never … it was late in the season but my team finally found their groove,” said Head Coach Dan Williams.
