LCC celebrates Frank Ernaga Memorial Golf Classic
Sophia Wages’ team — Giovanna Zinn, Toni Merrill, Sophie Wages and Sheri Smith.We just wrapped another Frank Ernaga Memorial Golf Classic and because of many of you, our sixth year was one of our most successful and fun events.
Your support and generous donations helped raise funds for the Lassen College Athletic Boosters and Lassen College Foundation. The money will help support scholarships through the Foundation, other community and alumni events, as well provide minor upgrades to our facilities, cover the costs of obsolete or worn equipment and give our student-athletes the experience they deserve at Lassen College.
The Lassen College Foundation and Lassen Cougar Athletic Boosters look forward to the Classic every year, honoring Frank Ernaga’s rich history in this community and connecting with each one of you. We focus on a fun and well-organized golf tournament but of course raising funds to support our athletic program, and student scholarships and grants, is our number one priority.
To those that participated, thank you for bringing the energy, laughs, (hugs) and consistently good weather. We have a special community and it takes the work of all of us to maintain a vibrant and conscientious region. A special thank you to Dave Martin and his staff for helping us put on such a fantastically smooth event – the course looks beautiful, as well as our student volunteers from our baseball and women’s basketball programs.
