LCSO launches Citizen RIMS website to provide crime info to residents

In an attempt to provide our community with up-to-date crime data and public records, we have set up an easy-to-use web page called Citizen RIMS, according to a statement from the LCSO. Citizen RIMS is a product developed by our records management system, RIMS by Sun Ridge Systems. While Sun Ridge Systems offers this product, it is managed by our agency. Some of the key features of this web page are crime mapping, agency arrests, booking information, stolen vehicles, jail inmates, daily crime bulletins and historical incident mapping. There are several other law enforcement agencies throughout California and other states that use this type of web page.
To view the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Citizen RIMS web page, go to lassen.crimegraphics.com.
To view other law enforcement agencies Citizen RIMS web pages, go to crimegraphics.com.
According to the statement, “We hope you enjoy viewing our Citizen RIMS web page. Most of the information is automatically updated by our records management system. However, the daily crime bulletins have to be manually updated.”
According to lassen.crimegraphics.com, “This website is provided as a public service by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office. In an effort to protect victim privacy this website does not provide information regarding juvenile offenders or specific information regarding calls for service that are sensitive in nature. The department does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information contained on this website regarding specific incidents, crimes or people with respect to the omission of information that may have not yet been filed or is pending filing with a court of jurisdiction relating to criminal offenses.”
