LHS boys’ golf takes to the green
The Lassen High School boys’ golf team hosted a league match on Thursday, April 20 against Anderson, Central

Valley, U-Prep and West Valley.
Lassen’s team saw a great performance from each member, despite the strong winds felt throughout the course. Ultimately, the Grizzlies finished off with a total stroke tally of 453 to finish third behind U-Prep and West Valley.
Regarding individual standings, Lassen’s Colin Westfall, Hudson Northrop and Jordan Rorie each finished with a total stroke tally of 87 to place them in the top 10 finishers of the course. Westfall finished the front nine holes with a tally of 48, but he compensated for with a brilliant performance in the back nine with a total tally of 39. Northrop and Rorie kept a more even score throughout the match and both ended up with a stroke tally of 44 for the front nine holes and 43 for the back nine.
Travis Wood finished with a total tally of 89 to grant him fourth place of the Lassen team. Wood also finished the front nine with a tally of 44, but for the back nine, he finished with a tally of 45 strokes.
John Kegg finished with a total tally of 103 strokes with 54 in the front nine and 49 for the back nine.
Dalton Loflin finished with 55 strokes in the front nine holes and 50 in the back nine to total his match tally at 105.
With the stroke tallies combined, Lassen finished with 453 on the board.
