Cooking Club meeting
The Cooking Club will meet at lunch time Tuesday in Room 116. No experience is required.
Gaming Club
The Gaming Club will meet in the library after school on Monday.
Lassen LGBTQ+ Club
The LGBTQ+ Club holds officer elections after school Tuesday, Nov. 9 in Room 716. Potential officers should prepare a spoken or written speech.

Junior, senior parking permits
This is the last week for juniors and seniors to get a parking permit. Sophomores should see a security guard to get a parking permit application.
SAT
The SAT will be given this Saturday in Room 102 for students who have signed up to take the test.
Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. and the test begins promptly at 8 a.m. Bring a No. 2 pencil, calculator and a water bottle. No phones.
Boys soccer tryouts
Boys soccer tryouts will be held at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8, 9 and 10 at Riverside Park.
Girls soccer tryouts
Girls soccer tryouts will be held at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8 , 9 and 10 on the high school field.
Boys basketball tryouts
Boys basketball tryouts will be held Nov. 8, 9 and 10. Varsity from 5:30 to 7 p.m.; Frosh and JV from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Thanksgiving food baskets
Attention Lassen High School students! If you would like to take home a basket of goodies for Thanksgiving, the Friday before break, sign up in the counseling office or let one of your teachers know to contact Mrs. Vincent on your behalf. We need all names no later than Wednesday, Nov. 17.
Thanksgiving food drive information
The Lassen High School Lending Locker is putting together food baskets for LHS students for Thanksgiving break and Thanksgiving dinner.
We are asking for the following donations, to be dropped off in the main office box, the cafeteria or your English classrooms.
Shelf-stable foods
- Canned ham;
- Box of stuffing mix;
- Box of instant potatoes;
- Box of macaroni and cheese;
- Canned yams;
- Brown sugar;
- Bag of marshmallows;
- Canned green beans;
- Can of cream of mushroom soup;
- French fried onions;
- Canned corn;
- Canned cranberry sauce;
- Jars of gravy (or packets);
- Cornbread mix;
- Dessert mix (pumpkin pie mix, brownie mix, cake mix, etc.); and
- Jello mix.
Beverages
- Ice tea mix;
- Coffee;
- Bottled juice;
- Drink mix;
- Hot cocoa mix; and
- Apple cider (that doesn’t need to be refrigerated).
Disposable plates/utensils
- Paper plates;
- Plastic utensils;
- Holiday napkins or paper towels; and
- Disposable foil pans.
We are also taking Turkey Bucks.
