LHS dominates at home, clinches league title
Lassen High School girl’s softball captured the 19th league title in school history Monday with a 12-0 victory over Uprep.

Last week the Grizzlies beat Anderson twice by identical 12-0 scores, the second in a one hit complete game by Jordan Smith and a 3-3 performance by Saydee Mueller. On Thursday behind Mila Knezevich’s 4-4 performance and home runs by Adams and Marsh, the Grizzlies won a non league game over Quincy 12-0.
Lassen and it’s 9-0 league record has outscored opponents 96-14, which is over 10 runs a game average.
“I am so proud of this group and all they have been through with the pandemic,” wrote Had Coach Paul Moore. “They never lost faith in having a season and when we finally got the green light, boy did they play. We really only had one close league game and left no doubt who the best team was. More importantly than winning, this group has been one of the biggest pleasures of my coaching career. They are amazing young ladies and people that Lassen County could 100 percent be proud of.”
