The Lassen High School junior varsity and varsity field hockey teams took to the field Monday, Sept. 13 in a match against Corning.
While both teams fell to the Corning Cardinals, there were some positives throughout the games.
According to Head Coach Dorinda Shaffer, “It was a little rough, given we’ve had limited practice and conditioning due to all the craziness starting in July, but none the less, we saw a lot of good things. Both of the teams have great potential. JV lost their game 0-3 to Corning and varsity lost 1-2, with Makenzie De La Cruz scoring the goal.”
The next games for the Lady Grizzlies are set for this Wednesday in Red Bluff.
Renee Delgado aims to take the ball away from a Corning opponent Monday. Mili Crosno fights for possession during the Monday varsity game against the Corning Cardinals.
