LHS girls basketball team hosts playoff game in The Cave at 6 p.m. tomorrow

Lassen High School, the number five seed, hosts a first round CIF Northern Section Division 4 playoff game in The Cave at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1 against the Lady Mustangs of Argonaut High School.

The Lady Grizzlies have posted a 21-8 overall record (7-3 in league, good enough for second place). According to maxpreps, point guard Shade Satica is the team’s leading scorer averaging 15.6 points per game. Satica also leads in assists (3.7 per game) and steals (5.1 per game). Taylore Somerville leads in rebounds with 7.1 per game and blocks with 1.3 per game. They’re coming off a 50-41 loss to UPrep on Saturday, Feb. 26.

According to maxpreps, team members include Sydney Whitlock, Katelyn Ernaga, Shade Satica, Abby Robles, Faith Murphy, Taylore Somerville, Graceyn Harlan, Jordan Smith and Ryleigh Hart.

The Lady Mustangs, of Jackson, California, posted a 24-6 overall record, going 8-2 in the Motherlode League.

According to an email from LHS, “New procedure has us in a tizzy as tickets can only be purchased online … Please encourage anyone who normally attends these games to purchase ahead of time.”
