Lassen High School girls’ soccer came ready to play Tuesday, March 30 against Anderson High School.
The local team made their presence known early scoring shortly after the game began, and ensured Anderson was never able to get a shot in. The Lady Grizzlies nabbed the win 3-0.
The goals were scored by Jessica Nakanishi, Kieran Dollar (assisted by Lillie Sweet), and Natalie Nakanishi. Keeper Gracielee Edwards had nine saves.
Prior to the game, coaches honored team seniors, Trysta Spangle, Kaylee Blacka, Lillie Sweet, Acelyn McCullough, Carmen Spann and Robbie Jones.
“Lassen girls soccer is making rapid improvements. With such a short preseason, and going straight into league games, I’m very impressed with the rapport that has developed between the new and returning players, and it shows in their increasing level of play. Our passing game is an area where I’ve seen particular growth. I’m excited for the rest of the season,” wrote coach Kayla Millar.
