The Lassen Union High School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted Monday evening to amend the graduation requirements for the 2020/ 2021 school year due to the pandemic.
“In regards to the pandemic, it has caused some issues,” LHS Superintendent/ Principal Morgan Nugent told the board during the Monday, March 22 special meeting.
“It is requested that the requirement for every graduate to have completed a pathway or A-G be waived for this school year. It is also requested that the PE requirement be waived due to a lack of sports,” read the agenda.
Nugent also added the topic should be revisited anyway, as the pathway or A-G requirement is a “lofty goal.”
The board of trustees unanimously voted to amend the requirements.
