On Monday, March 8 2021, Jay Jamison, loving and devoted father to one daughter, passed away at the age of 61.
Jay was born on Nov. 27, 1959, in Sacramento, California to Ralph and Laura Jamison. Growing up, Jay was a top baseball and basketball player. Jay was a longtime Susanville local, and loved cruising the streets in his wheel chair. He had a passion for classic rock and sports — specifically the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. Jay loved the outdoors. Once a hunter, Jay found himself admiring the deer that came to his back door in Susanville.
Jay was known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and compassionate heart.
Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Laura; father, Ralph; brother, Jim; and sister, Janie. He is survived by his daughter, Erin. Donations may be made in his name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
