Jennifer Lynn Uruburu
Jennifer Lynn Uruburu peacefully passed on to be with Jesus on June 19, 2021. Reflective of who Jenni was as a person, she embodied the same resilience and perseverance that she brought to all she endeavored in during the entirety of her battle against cancer. When anyone else would have broken, Jen always stayed strong. Her spirit brought life to every moment here on Earth, and her impact will continue to live on in the many lives that she touched.
Jenni’s favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” is reflective of the spirit that worked in and through her, and stands as a testament of her faith in Christ her Savior.
Jenni was born April 13, 1973 in Harbor City, California to her parents James and Nancy Osborne. As a child, she was diverse and adventurous; a dancer, playing and referring soccer. She was an all-around athlete, full of life, who was fun loving with a heart passionate for people. Her personality was a giving and selfless servant, a protector of the relationships with those fortunate to have her as part of their life.
Jenni met her husband, Jim Uruburu, in 1997 in Susanville. They married in 1999 and went on to raise three beautiful daughters. Jenni led a life dedicated to those around her with an immense impact, serving and pouring into lives both in her service at church and in the general community. Jennifer gave all she met a warm welcome into her home and her heart.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, James Uruburu; three children, Ember, Cora and Tatum; son-in-law, Adam Martinez; grandchildren, Annabelle and Quinten; mother, Nancy Larimer and father, Bill Dwinell; along with her five loving siblings.
The family would like to invite you to join them for a memorial service at Community Church of Susanville at 1 p.m. June 26 immediately followed by a celebration of life at the Susanville Elks Lodge.
