Life Tribute – Katelynne Michaela Crawford

Katelynne Michaela Crawford

A beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Katelynne Michaela Crawford left this world unexpectedly at age 31 March 22, 2021.

Katelynne was born in Susanville on Feb. 13, 1990 to Beau and Dina (Sanchez) Crawford. Katelynne grew up in Elk Grove, California. Katelynne moved to Yuma, Arizona, then Lawrence, Kansas, before moving back to her birthplace in 2012, eventually relocating to Redding in 2017.

Katelynne, known as “Kate” to many of her friends, was kind and compassionate to all she met. She truly never met a stranger. She had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh. She was very creative and expressed that through her drawings and artwork. She loved music and having a good time with family and friends.

The job that Katelynne loved the most was her job as a behavior technician, working with children with autism spectrum disorder. She had a gift working with children and was loved by her clients.

Katelynne’s number one love in her life was her son, Sam. She was a truly devoted and selfless mother. A perfect day to her was spending the day exploring the outdoors with Sam and seeing the wonder and joy in his eyes.

When you think of Katelynne, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and should be lived to the fullest.

Katelynne was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lynne Crawford. She leaves behind her son, Samuel Muecke; parents, Beau Crawford and Dina Pickett; step-father Bob Pickett; brothers Briar, Hunter and Luke Crawford; grandparents Dennis and JoAnn Sanchez, Phyllis Vierra and Mike Crawford; aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately in Redding. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Katelynne’s name to Autism Speaks autismspeaks.org, an organization that she was passionate about.
