Larry Alan Larimer

Larry Alan Larimer, 73, was born Sept. 21, 1947, to Ellsworth and Alice Larimer in Los Angeles, California. He passed in his home Feb. 6, 2021. Larry served in the Army in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1967-69, then moved to Susanville in 1970, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and later part owner of Larimer Surian Construction with his father and brother, Lee. He then worked at Sierra Army Depot as a stacker operator and retired in 2016.

Larry is survived by his wife Dottie; daughter Darcy Jorgensen and grandson Elliott Jorgensen; daughter Sally Montoya and son Tim Smith; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother Jerry Larimer and sister Linda Royalty and was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lee.

Larry volunteered as a handyman at MAMA’s Nearly New Treasures and enjoyed maintaining the church grounds. He enjoyed studying the Bible, traveling, square dancing, woodworking and kayaking.
