The world lost a beloved mom Friday, Jan. 15, 2021. Marion Virginia Swanson Hatch Hamblin passed away at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Linda, Susan, Cathy, Jayne, Marilyn; and sons, David and Dick. She has been blessed with 25 grandchildren and 61 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by her sister Nancy.
She was preceded in death by husband Doc Hatch; son, Doug; granddaughter, Christie; grandson, Robert; and great grandson, Makai.
Marion was born March 9, 1932 in Duluth, Minnesota to Otto and Ruth Swanson. She was a part of the class of 1950 at Greenville High School in Greenville California.
Marion lived most of her life in the Greenville area although she traveled throughout many states with travel trailer in tow. She loved life; she had a passion for sewing and crocheting, baking, cooking and sharing with others. She genuinely loved her family and people. For many years she donated her time at the Indian Valley Fire and Rescue, voting polls, at the food pantry and at the Indian Valley Thrift store.
The family is greatly appreciative for the love and care given by Eagle Lake Village in Susanville.
