Nadine Maria Miller
Nadine Maria Miller, 65, of Susanville, passed away Sept. 17, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born June 1, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas.
Nadine graduated from Lassen Community College. While attending Lassen Community College she earned the Who’s Who award among students in American Junior Colleges.
Nadine worked as a financial technician for 28 years with the Bureau of Land Management. Nadine was very passionate about working dispatch each fire season. She would find herself traveling to Arizona, Florida and Oregon throughout the years. In light of her dedication, tireless efforts and selfless service Nadine was presented with the following: The Florida Distinguished Service Award along with many Certificates of Appreciation and Awards presented by the Susanville Interagency Fire Center.
Nadine enjoyed reading books of all genres, watching movies, collecting fire shirts, fishing and watching deer from her front yard, she loved her quiet time, watching the snow fall and enjoyed her morning coffee.
Nadine is survived by her four children; Kristi Roe, Jason Miller, Danielle Longabaugh, and Matthew Miller, and eight grandchildren; Wyatt Roe, Cambreya Miller, Madisyn Roe, Lilah Miller, Paisleigh Miller, Maci Miller, Bailee Miller, and Mackenzee Miller.
Nadine’s services will be held on Oct. 17, 2020 at The Community Church, 1400 Numa Road, Susanville, California. Services will begin at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Memorial Park, 1199 North St., Susanville, where we will continue to share stories and memories of our mother while enjoying one of her favorite pastimes, eating some of her favorite dishes.
