Lassen Land and Trails Trust invites the public to its annual Ski/Soup event Saturday, Feb. 4 where participants can enjoy a variety of homemade soups at Susanville’s Historic Railroad Depot starting at 5:30 p.m. Soup dinner is a $10 donation per person ($5 for 12 and under), and there will also be a no-host bar available.
Those who are looking for some extra activity in the morning are welcome to join for a cross-country ski trip (or snowshoe) to Butte Lake, led by member and supporter, Phil Finkel. This adventurous cross-country ski tour is a 13-miles round trip, and participants need to bring water, snacks and lunch. Participants will carpool to the starting point, and will meet at the Depot at 8:30am. Please pre-register for the ski trip by calling (530) 257-3252 or email Amy.
We are also planning a shorter ski/snowshoe that day for those of you who would be interested in a more casual outing, stay tuned for details or give us a call with questions.
