LMUD announces two Tuesday meetings

The Lassen Municipal Utility District announced it will hold two meetings Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Special meeting
At 1 p.m. the board of directors will hold a special meeting to consider two items in closed session — the appointment of a general manager and a conference with legal counsel regarding significant exposure to litigation in two cases.

Regularly scheduled meeting
The board meets again at 5:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include staff member reports; board member reports; approval of the Sept. 26 minutes; a financial report (cash position, check register, YTD Budget/Expense update on Skedaddle substation project and key financial metrics); report from general manager (meetings attended, updates on major ongoing projects); report from electric operations manager; report from business manager; Resolution No. 2023-04 designating an agent for non-state agencies to request disaster relief assistance; approval of travel expenses for general manager candidates and spouses for interviews; consideration of a contact between WAPA and LMUD for full-load services; consider a proposal of $87,814 for two transformers for the Skedaddle substation; and consideration of future board meetings — a special meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 and a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28.
