The Lassen Municipal Utility District’s annual Customer Appreciation Day, held yesterday, Thursday, Sept. 7, drew a large crowd to the parking lot of the publicly owed utility district’s future office at 50 Gay St. (the old Bank of America building on the corner of Main and Gay streets in Uptown Susanville).
Theresa Phillips, LMUD’s public relations manager said about 360 residents showed up between 11:30 and 1 p.m. and the company served them more than 400 all-beef hot dogs.
Board members and company managers cooked the hot dogs and helped serve them to the community.
“It’s a great way for us to meet with our customers and share information,” Phillips said.
This is the second year Customer Appreciation Day has been held at LMUD’s future location.
