Starting from yesterday, Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3, there will be more construction coming from Caltrans in Susanville.
From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be guardrail work between East Riverside Drive to the Highway 395 and Highway 36 junction. The delays will be approximately 10 to 12 minutes throughout the week.
On April 29, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., there was underground work on Highway 36 at Weatherlow, with minimal to no delays anticipated.
From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 3, there will be curb, gutter and sidewalk work on Highway 36 from fairgrounds to East Riverside Drive. There will be one lane in each direction and minimal delays anticipated.
All of the work will eventually transition to nights in the next several weeks. This past week there was work on guardrail installation on Town Hill, drainage inlet installations to allow curb, gutter and sidewalk work. These will continue and preparations were made on Highway 36 for grinding, paving work.
Grinding and paving work through downtown is tentatively scheduled for the month of July. All of the work will be done at night.
