Susanville Police Department officers arrested a man for possession of controlled substances for sale after K-9 Zeke made a positive alert during a traffic stop Saturday.
According to a Monday statement from the Susanville Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, pulling over Shawn David Moyer, 40, of Susanville, for a traffic violation.
“During the traffic stop, K-9 Zeke was utilized and made a positive alert on the vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently searched and resulted in 27.9 grams of methamphetamine being located and other evidence indicative of drug sales,” read the statement.
Moreover, at about 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, the statement read officers conducted a search warrant of Moyer’s residence and located additional evidence of drug sales.
Moyer was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale. He was booked into the Lassen County Jail and is being held on a $20,000 bond, read the statement.
