McGuire scores decisive win in CADEM Pre-Endorsing Caucus, receives recommendation for party endorsement
State Senator Mike McGuire, a candidate for U.S. Congress. won the California Democratic Party’s endorsement caucus vote by 25 points in the First Congressional District.

The votes cast by party delegates – the heart of the Democratic Party – represent the latest show of strength for the campaign, which recently reported more than $450,000 raised between his campaign launch in mid-November and the end of the year.
In that same period, McGuire earned the support of some of California’s most influential organizations and elected leaders, including SEIU California, the International Association of Firefighters, the Nor Cal Carpenters Union and the California Conference of Carpenters, the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 183, Operating Engineers Local 3, the National Union of Healthcare Workers, Governor Gavin Newsom, Senator Adam Schiff, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Mike Thompson, Congressman Jared Huffman and every Democratic County Supervisor in District 1.
The recommendation for endorsement will be considered at the California Democratic Party convention in San Francisco next month.
