Megan Dahle announces State Senate bid

Renewing her commitment to fight for safe communities, a strong economy and a quality education for children, Assemblywoman Megan Dahle today announced her candidacy to represent California’s 1st Senate District.
“The North State needs a strong advocate with commonsense solutions and legislative experience,” said Dahle. “I’m known for getting things done in the Assembly and will carry that same fight on behalf of constituents into the Senate.”
Dahle has authored and co-authored numerous bills directly impacting the economic stability in California’s 1st Assembly District. She’s successfully secured millions in critical funding for local communities, passionately advocated for parents and students and consistently stood up for tough-on-crime policies. In 2022 Dahle was rated one of the most pro-business members of the Assembly by the California Chamber of Commerce.
Her family continues to operate a farm in the district, and she is committed to working to help Northern California agriculture thrive and especially to fight for its water needs, including the development of Sites Reservoir.
“Northern California residents deserve to be represented by someone who shares their values and who really understands the needs of its diverse rural communities,” Dahle said.
The 1st Senate District includes all or parts of 14 North State counties and will hold its next election in 2024. Dahle was first elected to the California Assembly in 2019.
