Plumas County’s Public Health Department received notification of two more positive COVID-19 test results — one for a resident in Eastern (Portola/ Graeagle area) region which is No. 47, who was a close contact of No. 46. The individual has no symptoms.
The other positive resident in Southern (American Valley area) region which is No. 48. It appears this individual may have contracted COVID-19 as a result of having to evacuate to a county outside of Plumas; the individual has no symptoms.
A contact tracing investigation is under way in both cases. If an exposed resident is identified during the investigation, the resident will be contacted by a member of the Public Health COVID-19 Response Team for further screening.
