Music, good food entertains at Bluegrass Festival locals night

The 11th annual Susanville Bluegrass Festival officially kicks off today, June 25, but locals got the chance to catch the music for free during yesterday’s locals night at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.

Thursday Bluegrass Festival attendees get their plate of tri-tip and all the fixings and visiting bands perform.

As the smell of the barbecuing tri-tip wafted through the air, long lines formed for a plate as visiting bands performed for the early festival attendees and locals.

The Festival runs from June 25 through June 27 and bands include Fast Track, Nu Blu, Keith Little Band, Hillbilly Fever and more. Moreover, there is a Quilt Room, sponsored by Country Pines Quilt Shop.

For additional information, or to purchase tickets, visit lassencounty.org/bluegrass, call the fair office at 251-8900, or stop by 195 Russell Drive in Susanville.
