Norma Lorraine Prunty

A longtime resident of Susanville, California, Norma passed away on January 5, 2023, in Citrus Heights, California. Norma was born to parents Earnest Claud Johnson and Goldi Kirk Johnson on April 1, 1926, in Topeka, Kansa. She married Kingston W. Prunty Sr. in Reno, Nevada, on April 16, 1945. Kingston preceded her in death on December 10, 1993.

During her years in Susanville, Norma was an avid bowler and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Women’s Auxiliary.

Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Claud, Bill, Gene, Patrick, Charlie and Earnest Johnson; sister, Nadine Burns, and daughter, Barbara Linder.

She is survived by her sons, Kingston W. Prunty, Jr. and his wife Toni, of Poway, CA, and Terrence Lee Prunty and his wife Barbara of Citrus Heights, CA; her daughter, Patricia Hansen, of Yuba City, CA; her brother, Richard Kirk Johnson and his wife Sherry, of Nevada, Iowa; her sister, Vivian Mae Jones and husband Russell, of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren: Kirsten Prunty, Patrick Prunty and his wife Shawna, Amanda Prunty, Tiffany and Eric Mattison, Janae and Nicolaus Simans, Michael and Tori McGuffin, Brandon and Melissa McGuffin; great-grandchildren Lidia McMann, Luna Prunty, Weston Prunty, Roarie Mattison, Elijah Mattison, Elizabeth Simans, Grace Simans, Violet Simans, Charlotte Simans, Parker McGuffin, Brooks McGuffin, Bodie McGuffin, Olivia McGuffin, Maya McGuffin; and nephew Robert Jayne.

Funeral Services will be conducted by Fink’s Funeral Home in Susanville, CA on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with interment at Diamond Crest Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
