The Lassen National Forest published the Notice of Availability (NOA) for the Over-Snow Vehicle Use Designation Revised Final Environmental Impact Statement (RFEIS) in the Federal Register on May 27, 2022. www.federalregister.gov – search term “Lassen over-snow”.
Formal opportunities for public comment regarding the OSV-Use Designation project have passed. The publication of the RFEIS NOA in the Federal Register is required per 40 CFR 1506.11, initiating a 30-day waiting period. Once the RFEIS NOA is published in the Federal Register, 30-days must pass prior to signing the record of decision (ROD). The ROD will remain *Draft* until it is signed.
