Notice of Public Hearing – Skyline Aggregates Quarry Project (August 25)
The Lassen County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing for the Skyline Aggregates Quarry project. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Jensen Hall inside the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Attendees can review the Planning Commission’s recommendation and provide feedback on the 50-year hard rock mining project.

Project Overview
- Applicant: TLT Enterprises LLC (Perry Thompson)
- Operation: Mining, processing, and reclamation by Hat Creek Construction and Materials, Inc.
- Size & Scope: 460 acres of a 640-acre parcel (APN 101-110-024).
- Timeline: 50 years total (5 phases, roughly 10 years per phase) starting Spring 2027.
- Location: 1.5 miles east of State Route 139 off Skyline Road, northeast of Susanville.
- Zoning: Upland Conservation, Agricultural Preserve Combining District (U-C-A-P). No general plan or zone amendments required.
