OHV grant proposal available for review, comment through May 2

Each year the Lassen National Forest has an opportunity to submit grant applications to the California State Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division for consideration to receive funding in support of the LNF’s on-going Off-Highway Vehicle program. As part of the state’s 2022 grant cycle, the LNF is submitting a proposal for a law enforcement project which includes OHV area patrols and enforcement.

As part of the application process, stakeholders are encouraged to make comments on the submitted application. The comments will be used to shape the final grant application package which are due to the OHMVR Division by June 6.

Preliminary applications for the 2022 projects will be made available for review and comment on the OHMVR Division’s website beginning March 8. Interested parties can find more information about the Lassen’s OHV program on our website (https://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/lassen/recreation/ohv).

In addition to the OHMVR Division’s website, public comments regarding the proposed project can be submitted in writing to Adam Hill, Patrol Captain, 2550 Riverside Drive, Susanville, CA 96130 or electronically to adam.hill@usda.gov by May 2, 2022.
