Paiute Meadows Trail Run draws in a crowd

Runners from far and wide flocked to the annual Paiute Meadows Trail Run Saturday, May 12.
The trail run hosted four races and drew in a total of 249 athletes.
The four races of the event included a 50K, a half marathon, a 4.5-mile run and a 1-mile kids’ run.
Of the 249 participants, 72 are residents of Lassen County.
The 50K had a total of 41 participants. Derrik Jenkins of Riverton, Utah took first place with his time of 4 hours, 7 minutes and 50 seconds.
The only Lassen County representative in the 50K was Susanville runner Michael Blaschak. Blaschak finished 23rd overall with a time of 6:50.39.
The half marathon had a total of 76 participants, 18 of which reside in Lassen County.
The first-place finisher of the half marathon was Jared Bingham, resident of Riverbank, California. He finished with a time of 1:51.22.
Of the 18 Lassen County participants, Rocklin Albonico, 8, of Susanville, was first to cross the line with a time of 1:54.09. He earned third place overall.
Next in was Susanville resident Nick Albonico with a time of 1:58:35 earning him fourth place.
Fifth place was earned by Susanville resident Sadie Wilson with a time of 2:00:33.
Susanville resident Lindsy Campbell earned sixth place overall with a time of 2:08:24.
In 15th place, Susanville resident Fernando Estrada finished with a time of 2:19:01.
Susanville resident Aaron Johnson took 19th place with a time of 2:29:45.
Susanville resident Nikolas Edwards took 21st with a time of 2:30:14.
In 22nd place was Susanville resident Lisa Marie Urquizu with a time of 2:30:48.
Susanville resident Ceci Dale-Cesmat earned 32nd place with a time of 2:43:13.
Janesville resident Megan Maytum finished in 36th place with a time of 2:47:39.
In 43rd place was Susanville resident Ryan Hilburn with a time of 2:50:03.
Susanville resident Nick Dominguez finished 45th with a time of 2:56:01.
In 46th place was Nancy Hefner, of Susanville, with a time of 2:56:54.
Susanville resident James Stevens earned 58th place with a time of 3:26:49.
Martin Balding, of Susanville, earned 59th place with a time of 3:26:50.
Westwood resident Geneviene Antognazzi finished 64th with a time of 3:38:13.
In 67th place, Susanville’s Rod McCollough finished with a time of 3:51:33.
Susanville resident John Rompel finished things up for the Lassen County participants with his 69th-place finish of 3:55:32.
There were a total of 111 runners in the 4.5-mile race with 32 participants representing Lassen County.
The first-place finisher of the race overall was Adam Carrillo, of Susanville, with a time of 31 minutes and 28.6 seconds.
Susanville’s Molly West took second place with a time of 32:54.9.
Susanville resident Jacob Hernandez earned third place with a time of 34:40.5.

In fifth place was Susanville’s Michael Rivas with a time of 36:26.9.
Earning seventh was Susanville resident Carrie Adams with a time of 36:43.1.
Susanville’s Jon Celum took ninth place with a time of 37:50.1.
In 10th place was Susanville’s Sean Buehler with a time of 38.08.4.
Susanville’s Andrew Rena-Dozier earned 20th with a time of 42:18.7.
In 21st place was Susanville’s Cerena Brewen with a time of 42:22/5.
Susanville’s Tiffany Russell earned 22nd place with a time of 42:27.1.
Janesville resident Kay Runyon took 27th place overall with a time of 43:00.6.
In 30th was Susanville’s Madji McIntosh with a time of 44:24.1.
Bambi Wallin, of Janesville, earned 31st with a time of 45:05.6.
Susanville’s Ashlee Albonico, 11, took 33rd place with a time of 45:30.7.
In 34th place was Susanville’s Amanda Bolls with a time of 45:49.4.
Finishing 39th overall was Susanville’s Brady Johnson, 12, with a time of 46:52.2.
In 41st place was Janesville’s Robert Taylor, 16, with a time of 47:41.1.
Westwood’s Coline Beyer earned 44th overall with a time of 47:54.8.
In 45th place was Susanville’s Sadie Albonico with a time of 48:10.8.
Taking 48th place was Susanville’s Victoria Estrada with a time of 48:25.8.
Tarah Clark, of Susanville nabbed 54th place with a time of 49:30.7.
Coming in 60th place, Minette Hutchinson, of Janesville finished with a time of 51:06.9.
Megan Betti, of Janesville, finished in 62nd place, with a time of 51:25.7.
With a finishing time of 51:33.2, Vinnie Miller, of Susanville, earned 63rd place.
Susanville’s Michael Wofford finished in 70th place with a time of 53:04.9.
In 71st place, Dorothy Bond, of Susanville, finished with a time of 54:02.6.
Portia Korver, of Susanville, nabbed 73rd place, finishing at 54:04.3.
John Dozier, of Susanville, finished with a time of 56:28.8, earning him 82nd place.
Debra Wofford, of Susanville nabbed 98th place with a time of 1:03:01.4.
Susanville’s Mark Sabo, earned 100th place, with a time of 1:04:03.9.
Kimberly Michel, of Janesville, finished 104th with a time of 1:06:36.4.
Stacy Gallyer, of Susanville, ended with a time of 1:06:36.8, earning 105th place.
In the annual Paiute Meadows Trail kids 1-mile run Daniel Taylor nabbed first place, with a time of 8:09.
Andrew Clark finished with a time of 9:20, earning second place.
Madeline Blaufuss finished third with a time of 9:42.
Louie Buentiempo snagged fourth place, with a time of 9:54.
Earning fifth place, Ezequial Taylor finished with a time of 11:23.
Bella Rivas snagged sixth place, with a time of 12:23.
Serenity Carl finished with a time of 14:15, and earned seventh place.
Snagging eighth place, Caleb Clark ran the 1-mile run in 15:03.
Jaden Taylor finished in eighth place, with a time of 15:03.
Ulysses Bond finished in 10th place, with a finishing time of 15:43.
Warren Bond tied for 10th place with a time of 15:43.
Finishing in 12th place, Delaney Pate ran the mile in 16:46.
Karah Edmonds finished in 13th place, with a time of 17:09.
With an ending time of 18:44, Melanie Major snagged 14th place.
Rachele Sherod finished with a time of 19:02, earning 15th place.
Daniel Lee, tied for 15th place, with a time of 19:02.
With a finishing time of 19:05, Shirley Co nabbed 17th place.
Mauricio Espriella, Mariah Henness and Savana Santana tied for 18th place with a time of 19:07.
Overall, the annual Paiute Meadows Trail Run drew participation from local and visiting runners.
