Public Comments Sought for Sheriff’s Office OHV/OSV Grant

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office is developing its OffHighway Vehicle (OHV) draft grant application that will be submitted to the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation on March 4th, 2019. The application will be available for public review from March 5th, 2019 through May 6th, 2019. The public is invited to comment on any changes or improvements on the grant application on the website ohv.parks.ca.gov. Final applications are due to the state of California on June 3rd, 2019.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR MATERIALS TESTING AND SPECIAL INSPECTION SERVICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed Statement of Qualifications will be received at the office of Plumas Unified School District, 1446 E. Main St., Quincy, CA 95971 until the hour of 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 for Qualifications of Materials Testing & Special Inspection Services for various projects throughout the District and all within the boundaries of the District. Selection for services will be awarded by competitive selection based on qualifications.

The District is requesting Statements of Qualifications for Materials Testing & Special Inspection Services for various projects throughout the District within the Plumas Unified School District, Plumas County, California.

Proposals must be submitted following an RFQ outline provided by the District. The outline for the RFQ is available at the aforementioned address, or by contacting CRM Group, acting as the District’s Construction Manager, at (775) 530-0303.

Timber Sale

The Plumas National Forest is advertising for the Frazier Integrated Resource Timber Contract (IRTC) Stewardship. The Frazier IRTC Stewardship Timber Sale is located in all or portions of T.21N., R.12E., sections 21, 22, 27, and 28., M.D.M. Sealed – “Best Value” offers will be received at the Plumas National Forest Supervisor’s Office, 159 Lawrence St. Quincy, CA 95971, on April 5th, 2019, at 10:00 AM local time, of an estimated 4,687 CCF (2.343 MBF) of sawtimber and an estimated 4,866 CCF (13,383 Tons) of Green Biomass Convertible (Grn Bio Cv), marked or otherwise designated for cutting on approximately 493 acres, with six mandatory stewardship projects and two optional stewardship project. Stewardship project(s) are: Mandatory Item 001: Haul of Biomass In Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5A, 6, and 6A, Mandatory Item 002: Cut, Skid and Deck Biomass Material in Units 7, 8, and 9, Mandatory Item 003: Road Maintenance, Mandatory Item 004: Temporary Road Construction, Mandatory Item 005: Temporary Road Re- opening, Mandatory Item 006: Tillage and Special Erosion Prevention Measures. Optional Item 007: Re-contouring of Newly Constructed Bench Skid Trails, and Optional Item 008: Re-contouring Newly Constructed Temporary Roads.

The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled “Instructions to Offerors.” Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Government’s requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the “best value” to the Government. The Mills MP Thin SBA Sale is located within all or portions of T21N. R12E, sections 5 and 8. T22N. R12E, sections 27, and 34 M.D.M. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids in public at Plumas National Forest, Supervisor’s Office, 159 Lawrence St. Quincy, CA 95971 at 11:00 AM local time on 04/05/2019 for an estimated volume of 11,357 ton of Combined Softwood sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an estimated volume of 9,065 ton of Combined Softwood grn bio cv that the bidder agrees to remove at a fixed rate. This is a small business set-aside sale. If no self-certifying small business concern makes a valid bid, the Forest Service will re advertise this sale without restrictions on bidder size. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public at:
