Plumas National Forest seeks comments on OHV grant applications

The Plumas National Forest is asking for public input on its grant proposal to the California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division.

The public will be able to review and comment on the Forest’s preliminary grant applications beginning March 5 through 5 p.m. May 6, 2024.

The Forest has completed two grant applications consisting of OHV Ground Operations and Law Enforcement projects.  This will support trail maintenance, patrols and other work in support of OHV trails on the Plumas National Forest.

Beginning tomorrow, the Forest’s preliminary grant application will be available for public review  at  Once at the OLGA site, the menu contains Public Review Instructions and Reviewing Preliminary Applications information.

“We appreciate comments from the public for these OHV grant applications supporting the OHV trails on the Plumas National Forest,” said Acting Deputy Forest Supervisor Bernadette Barthelenghi.  “OHV use is among the favorite recreation opportunities on the Forest and we look forward to the opportunity for funding to support this use.”
