Poetry Out Loud, a national contest, seeks an audience.
According to a statement from Poetry Out Loud, sponsored by the Lassen County Arts Council, the California Arts Council and Poetry Out Loud, “Come out to the Lassen High School Theatre Room at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 to see our Lassen County POL finalists competition. Finalists are from high schools around Lassen County. Winners get to move on to state competitions. Please come and support these amazing kids.”
June Sanders and Dianna Henning serve as the county POL coordinators. Phil Finkel will serve as the master of ceremonies and Sam Williams, Elgin Cannon, Ruth McElrath and Lynne Sella will service as judges.
