Police department urges residents to be alert, be ready to evacuate if Dixie Fire threatens city
With the ever-changing conditions affecting the Dixie Fire, The Susanville Police and Fire Departments would like to remind the residents of Susanville to be alert and be ready to evacuate in the event that the Dixie Fire threatens the City of Susanville, according to a Monday afternoon statement from the police department.

Check your zone on the map and be prepared if either an evacuation warning or order are issued. The City of Susanville is working to keep the residents safe and up to date on fire information.
Currently, according to the Susanville Police Department, the following zones may be impacted, SVL-E004 and SVL-E005, and the status of locations can be found on the emergency alert zone map. If you have medical needs that will require assistance evacuating, call (530) 260-6026 and leave a message. Your information will be placed on a list provided to first responders.
The City of Susanville utilizes the CodeRED notification system and will notify residents if an evacuation warning or order takes place for your specific zone. Officers will also perform door to door notifications if an evacuation order is given.
