Police seek residents’ help following armed robbery

Local law enforcement is asking those with video surveillance in the areas around the Mobil Gas Station/ Mini Mart to review their footage following an armed robbery.

At about 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, Susanville Police Department officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil Gas Station/ Mini Mart at 1901 Main St, according to a statement.

According to the store clerk, the suspect, who is described as a white man, about 6-feet tall, slender and dressed in all black clothing and a ski mask, came into the store about five minutes earlier.

The clerk alleged the man pulled “what was described as a snub nose revolver, from his waist, pointed it at the clerk and demanded all the money from the cash register,” according to the statement.

After the clerk gave the suspect the money, the man was seen leaving the store and heading toward the alley and east.

“Anyone residing in the area of this location and has video surveillance at their residence, please review your footage for anyone walking in your area around 10 p.m. Or, contact our agency and we can review with you,” the statement read.
