The meeting will be held on April 10th, 2019 at 4:00 pm

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Portola City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City of Portola City Council Chambers, 35 Third Avenue, Portola, California, regarding the following matter:

PORTOLA HIGHLANDS (formerly WOODBRIDGE) DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (PER ORDINANCE NO. 300) ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT REVIEW

THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT CALLS FOR AN ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE PROGRESS MADE BY THE DEVELOPER WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT.

The Portola City Council adopted Ordinance No. 318 on January 24, 2007 approving the Development Agreement between the City and Woodbridge at Portola, Inc. to provide for the development of 398 acres of residential and commercial development.

The project acreage is comprised of: 339 acres of residential development, 19.9 acres of commercial development, 19.6 acres of Parks (PR), 112 acres of Open Space (OS)  included in the LDR zone, and 2.6 acres Public/Quasi Public Use (P/QP).

The Development Agreement (Article 4) calls for an Annual Review “demonstrating the Developer’s good faith compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement.”  Since the Development Agreement was approved, the project has undergone extensive public review, including an approved Mitigated Negative Declaration, a General Plan Amendment, zoning changes, and approval of a Tentative Map, and work towards achieving map conditions. A Mitigated Negative Declaration was approved for this project in 2006.

General Property Location: The subdivision is in an undeveloped area located at the south end of Gulling Street, continuing west behind Portola High School to County Road A-15.
